Hello, welcome to my website!

I study climate policy and governance development in different regional- and domestic contexts, with a particular research interest in fast climate policymaking at EU-level and in South Korea. As a political scientist, I aim to bring regional climate governance development cases in East Asia and Europe from a comparative perspective.
I am currently a PhD researcher at Ghent University, Belgium, as well as a PhD fellow at Academy of International Affairs NRW, Bonn, Germany. I obtained MSc. European Studies (Research Master) at Maastricht University, the Netherlands, and MA. Political Science at University of Cologne, Germany. Prior to that, I had studied Political Science and International Relations at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea.
From my previous work settings that include the European Union Delegation to South Korea, ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, UNESCO and UNFCCC – the UN Climate Conference Secretariat, I possess demonstrated professional experiences in the field of global climate politics and sustainability.
I strive for shaping my professional knowledge and passion for climate justice into sound academic insights. With this, I wish to contribute to effective climate education and increasing political participation in green policymaking in the future.
